The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Northern Virginia

DBSA-NOVA: Teen Support Group

Fairfax Presbyterian ChurchB ipolar disorder and major depression affect millions of Americans. Different from the normal ups and downs that everyone goes through, the symptoms of bipolar disorder and major depression are severe and require constant treatment through therapists, psychiatrists and other mental health professionals. Support groups provide an additional and vital part of the path to recovery, offering members the opportunity to share and grow from each other in a safe, confidential and welcoming environment.

Recognizing that adolescents diagnosed with bipolar disorder or major depression have special needs, the Northern Virginia DBSA Chapter is now offering a support group specifically for teens (ages 13-19).

The Teen Depression and Bipolar Support Group is DBSA-Northern Virginia's newest group.
