Education is one of the most important parts of bipolar recovery. Below you will find some of our favorites. The picture above is of one of our favoriate authors, Kay Redfield Jamison, a professor of psychiatry at Johns Hokpkins University, who has written some of the best research on bipolar -- manic-depressive illness -- and has authored an amazing memoir, An Unquiet Mind, about her own struggle with the disorder. The books below range from self-help offerings such as Julie Fast's Loving Someone with Bipolar Disorder and Bebe Moore Campbell's 72 Hour Hold to memoirs such as Andy Behrman's Electroboy: A Memoir of Mania and Patty Duke's A Brilliant Madness.
